Hey guys does anyone know the measurement of the bolt pattern for my 14" rims? I want to upgrade to 15" and want to start searching. If anyone is interested I have 5 professionally painted white rims with tires that have 97% tire tread left. Let me know!
5 by 4.5 standard ford is what your car is. '54s came with small ford 15s, so if you can get that set up cheap, and the wheels are a matching set, you're bucks ahead of the game. Your car will look killer with 15inch wheels
What does that mean small ford 15's? I thought all the 54's came with the Same size but just found out the I6's came with 14's so I went and looked and sure enough I'm running P215/70R14's. Is there anything in particular I should search for? Thanks!
ford comes 5 on 5, and 5 on 4.5. Big ford, small ford respectively. Big ford comes on wagons and heavier duty stuff, and lincolns and mercs, and other earlier stuff. If its post 46, and a Ford, and not a wagon, odds are it will be 5 on 4.5. I think their race car stuff was big ford though, just because of the heavy duty stuff
Totally, its cool! Ford stuff is always confusing, because anything is possible! Whatever they had, ended up on a car
'54 Fords were a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern they only had 15" X 5" wheels on sedans and hardtops(look for the sticker on the inner glovebox) the 14" wheel came out in 1957 and many people switched over to 14" wheels, fast forward to 2011 availability of many 14" tires is getting scarce as I found out as I have 14" X 6" ET's on my '54 Customline.
