Friend of a friend has an old 54 ford custom, had a spindle failure recently on the way for ice cream with some friends. I guess this car was built decades ago as the spindles were welded to lower the car. I am sure there is a source of safe lowered spindles for this car out there I just dont know who it is. Any help will be appreciated, Thanks Rich

You would probably do better to ask this question on the 1952-59 Ford Social Group section. Those guys know their stuff and many of them don't check the main board as often as the social group.

Answered in your other another post. Granada spindles will drop you 2 to 3”. You need to ream ball joint hole or holes. Some of the disc brake kits use an aftermarket spindle from China already reamed. 1954-56 Fords. Dorman may offer them.

Can anyone explain the social forums on here? I see in the drop down menu “watched social forums” but not a list of them or anything else.

Rich Fat Man Fabrication lists them on their website.

After drop down…go to brands, go down to 52-59 Fords and open. You can read but need to join it to post.

Granadas are on e-bay for $200.00. FatManFab for $600 is probably the same reboxed as they say all Granada brake parts fit.
