Hello everyone. First time post here, thanks for any help provided.
I've started a project with my uncle's 54. We are swapping in this built 270 with a Turbo 350 ******. I've got it bolted back in, but I'm concerned about the motor mounts. The front mount combined with the transmission mount does not give much support for the torque of this motor. I cannot find a good place to bolt new mounts to the engine block. It looks like the 265 has empty bolt slots to add motor mounts, but this 270 does not.
Any advice on securing this motor?
As soon as I figure out how to post a picture, I will add a couple shots of the build.o_O

The truck bellhousings used side mounts that stabilized the torque. You'll need to figure a way to duplicate that feature.

If you can place some kind of a bolt in crossmember at the front; then make side mounts at the front that bolts to the side of the block you won’t need a mid mount. In the 2 photos there in a 2” channel iron bolted to the frame with fabricated side mount out to the inner edge of the that sits on the channel. Tough to see the left side because of the oil filter mount. Expand the right side photo to see what I mean. IMG_2895.jpeg IMG_2868.jpeg IMG_2715.jpeg
