I need to know the original wheel offset for a '54 Plymouth Savoy to complete my application for licensing.

I'm hoping this is the same as my Aussie built '54 DeSoto.
    Wheels are listed as 6.70 x 15.

I have the original Australian Owners Manual, and the Overhaul Manual, but it doesn't mention it anywhere. Can anyone help??

My "54 came with/required 6.70X15 tires. the wheel size I'm not sure of. Maybe 4.5 or 5 inch wide?

Your probably going to have to take a wheel off and actually measure it? There are plenty of websites that show you how to measure it. Not sure they really had an offset back them if any at all it would be minimal.

Are you sure your Desoto is a 1954? They continued using the same body style through early 1957 in OZ. Even the Chrysler Royal AP1-2-3 all used the 1954 Plymouth body shell but the front fender (guards to you guys) and rear quarters changed every few years. The early cars had the brake master cylinder under the floor and in 1956 it was moved to the firewall. The headlights were also heavily hooded in 56-57 but it was still the SP25 series.

My Australian Desoto had 16" wheels from the factory, But all of the UTEs did. I wish there was a way to track past owners in OZ as I would love to find who the past owners of my car were. It was really fun getting a title for my car here in Iowa.

Nice. Thanks for the info. It should keep the bean-counters happy anyway.
