1952-59 Ford 54 ranch wagon

How do you remove the key tumbler from tail gate latch, I want to get it replated and need to remove, and I do not have a key.

Best bet is find a locksmith in your area that has been around for a long while,they can make the key for it while they are at it.

 

I removed my lift gate handle and took it to a locksmith,,there is a pin that holds the cylinder in place. HRP

 

hotrodprimer is right that what i did. i went to a locksmith and he got it out somebody put lock tight in the key way but he got it out made a key and it works.
