Oh, Man!!!! You are moving up in the world! What do you envision for it?

  6. the o/t was an 03 Chevy p.u., is this better or what. I am coming over to see it in person, I could hardly sleep last nite in anticipation of seeing this awesome score. Dick purchased this from a great older gent who put a lot of love in the ride. It is good hands! ~sololobo~

  8. Great looking car ... appears extremely clean. Interesting comment regarding the "fuel pump". I purchased a couple of old snowmobiles (owned by old guy) and the previous owner had installed a "boat style" primer bulb similar to that one.

Kinda funny looking (boat gas primer) on a car but you hafta admit .... simple and functional ... must be an "old guy" thing I guess :).

or maybe when it sat for a day too long and the fuel left the lines, he didnt have to drain his battery trying to pump a prime up again.

  10. Here is a really funny observation friend.

my last really good dailey came from omaha, now it appears that you are comming to KC for yours, (this an assumption made from another post in an unrelated thread).

Do you suppose that the really good cars and trucks are just traveling back and forth.

hey I really dig the primer bulb on the supply line for the carb.

Nice lookin' car, if looks are any indication it should make you a good dailey.

Awesome score Dick, Now make a gasser out of it......go ahead and shoot me. Our family has always had a 53 or 54 and they grow on you very quickly. Gotta love them, and yours looks super clean. Hope it gives you many happy miles. I'm trying to decide if my 82 F-100 needs to be replaced by something alittle older. Thanks for the inspiration. Gary

Speedo reads 51,000,the way it drives that might be right. No sawing on the steering wheel.65 down the freeway with pedal to spare. No plans now except to drive it.I know eventually I won't be able to leave it alone.Love me some mild custom 54s.

  28. Welcome to the world of the '54! sweet score.

  29. That car is absolutely gorgeous. I'd love to have one like that. I passed on a '53 sedan about 10 years ago like that in just as good shape as your looks. I still kick myself in the pants every time I pass the house that it sat at. I'm still hoping another one turns up sometime at that same house again.

The car looks good in the photos. It is pretty sound and what's wrong is what keeps me in the garage.I'll drive it a lot and make some mild mods as I go.Well, unless that other roof thing works out.:cool:
