I’m currently building a 55 wagon. I was going to run 409 Impala springs up front, but, but now I’m thinking about coil overs. Anyone know what part# they ran on the Roadkill 56?

Either of these won't change ride firmness. Those 409 springs are super stiff from what I've heard. Are you going to run ball joint spacers too?

I ran the station wagon - 409 springs along with air shocks in the rear of my 396, 4 speed 57 Chevy. There was no give with that set up. In fact when I would travel over a set of railroad tracks at 35 MPH, I would bounce around so much that if I did not take my foot of the gas pedal I would take off, smoking the rear tires. But for a young 19 year old, it did look pretty cool.

What did you ever work out with your front end?
I'm looking for a pair of TRI-FIVE ball joint spacers if you aren't using yours.
I had some and saw a wanted ad and figured I'd help someone out. now I need some.
Please respond either way so I know.
    THANKS, Joe

I used the Ebay ball joint spacers and QA1 coil overs with 450lb spring rate, and adjusted them as high and tight as possible, A-Arms were topped out but it was lifted as much as could be with that set up. IMG_20190731_123737203.jpg IMG_20191016_161306780_HDR.jpg
