Hey guys! New to the forum and Im in need of some advice. I have a 1955 chevy (2nd gen) truck. I also have a 1990 c4 corvette as a donar car. I pulled the motor and trans out of the car to put in my 55. I heard about people using the rearend and front suspension on these trucks, so I pulled the rearend and front crossmember out of the c4. Now how do I install front crossmber? Does the stock c4 fit? Or is there some kind of crazy priced after market crossmember I have to buy? Thanks in advance!
Just a heads up, this is a traditional hot rod and custom site, so c4 corvette stuff isn't really discussed openly most of the time. That friendly warning out of the way, someone on the tri-five forum built a custom frame for their truck utilizing c4 stuff. Or you could send a PM to H.A.M.B member El Polacko, he may have some insight for you.
Go to 67-72chevytrucks.com There are some good threads by guys who have used the No Limits cross members to put C4 components under their Task Force trucks.
First you need a tape measure. You would likely find more help on a resto-mod pick up , or street rod forum.
