Projects 55-57 Chevy Truck question

    I am wondering if the front sheet metal from a 55 1 ton looks the same as the 1/2 ton and will it bolt on to a 57 3/4 ton? I like the 55-56 look better.

    yes. But you need all the sheet metal, it's all a little different. mostly the pieces around the grille opening, including the fenders.

    I agree with Squirrel as it changes to accommodate the different grille designs. Hoods will interchange.

    One ton might have bigger wheel well openings for the 18" tires.

    I did a 57 1 ton that interchanged with 1/2 ton parts, but a friend bought one that had the larger front end like a 2 ton and up truck front. There were a few variations. Like squirrel said, if you change years, you need all of it. I think the rad support has a couple different holes too between 55 and 57

    1 ton is a 3800 series.
