There's a '57 lurking somewhere in my shop that used to belong to Harm's Way. Hmmmmm.................I wonder Frank
I find this thread very interesting. I manufactured the Sweet 55,56 T Bird thirty years ago. My factory was in Southern New Hampshire with twenty five employees, and 20,000 square feet. We built 39 cars and I got an offer that I just couldn't refuse plus at the same time the unions wanted to move in on me. I'm not sure what would be worse, a union guy at your door on a Monday morning, or 60 Minutes. I sold the company to a group called Equity Automotive out of Minneapolis Minnesota. I drove the original prototype for a few years and sold it. I was told that it was later sold and a guy bought the fibergl*** body with all the parts and converted it to a G***er. He runs the car at New England Dragway. Does anyone know of a 55 T Bird G***er running at New England Dragway? If you do I would sure like pictures so that I could place them in my Sweet T Bird picture album. One last thing I still have one fibergl*** body left after thirty years. It has all the parts to build a complete car. I have a frame from one of my Cobra's that would fit rite under it. It would make a good combination for drag or street.
