Has anybody come up with a better mount system for the cab on these trucks? I am thinking of some solution like an old flathead motor mount or maybe an early 60s Pontiac Hydramatic trans mount or such that could screw up into the cab, rest on the frame mount, and you put a nut on the back.... Can anyone tell me the size, length, and thread of the OEM cab bolts? I'm building a new frame (rectangular tubing) and I Reeeeeeeally don't want to go back to the original style mounts..
What was wrong with the original frame. New mounts are available. I think your over thinking the whole think in my opinion. Pictures help as well.
