It was on ebay through Gasmonkey Garage right around Christmas time. Don't know where it went, though.
Here's mine about ten months ago. I just ripped the bed wood out last weekend and am prepping the frame for some paint. I'll probably end up leaving it open and running a rail system to load my bike in. This winter's project is getting the body work done and ready for paint. Next November, the Airride. I think I just located a 327 for it once the '73 350 goes tits up.
Perfect timing of this post. I received a call from my Aunt that her neighbor had pulled his old truck around from the back of his yard and put it in the front lawn with a For Sale Sign on the door. I remembered it as a task force truck and decided to stop by for a look in the evening. The truck turned out to be a 1956 Chevrolet 1/2 ton Step Side Big Back window cab. The only rust in the whole truck was both cab corners and he had New Replacements on the cab floor. The bed has the end rail capped as well as the stake pocket holes. The front fenders and hood are in the bed. I was wondering why the sheet metal was off the truck but seen why when I went to the front. He already installed a Camaro IFS and a new rearend out back. I couldn't pass up the truck and purchased it for $1500.00 . I've built two of these at the shop for customers and now I guess it's my turn. Joe
Digging up an old thread here. Not exactly HAMB material, but I was wondering if anyone has seen this truck or know who the owner is? I'm curious as to what the wheelbase ended up being with the extended cab, and how much they streched the cab? The proportioning on it is perfect!
wow six pack you might be the first person i have heard of that went from the 55-57 front to the later 58-59...i did the exact opposite haha nice little coupe also, i would do anything for something along those lines
