Yes, Aubrey Bruneau of BruneauPerformance.Ca (it's a Canadian site) makes a full spool, and many other parts for the 55-64 Chevrolet rear ends. You may have to call or e-mail him as I don't see anything about rear ends on the site other than the bearing caps, and they were listed under 348-409 pistons (???).I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

My buddy checked and said that they do not offer a spool only better caps and HD posies.
My plan for now is to dam up one side of the carrier and melt some lead and pour it in the center to lock up the side and spider gears to buy some time tell we can upgrade to a 9 inch or 8 3/4 mopar.

He must have quit making them, or having them made. If he still has the CNC files, any competent machinist could make one. My nephew copied the caps I bought from Bruneau. I think he's too busy now with his own shop and two CNC machines running full time to do one, but I bet he could. You may be able to find a pair of the old Ansen/Eelco spider gear blocks; someone is making them for the 57-64 Olds/Pont rears again. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Back in the days all of us poor boy racers just welded the spider gears together and ran with it. Works just like a spool and free.

I thought of that but I know these axle side gears are the weak link in these so the the idea came from an old gear head and I think the lead will be more forgiving.
