My 55 Century has the wonderful bucik automatic tranny behind it. I noticed that i was leaking and it is comming back out the dip stick/fill tube. I know that it is not over filled, but it pours out. It comes out after reving it up, or in the case that i noticed truying to get back up my driveway. Anyone have any ideas? I did how ever find something intresting. I put 2.5 quarts in it and then reverse was working great but drive not so much. So i backed up a ways and tryed to get some momentum and then floored it to get up my driveway. Well it had very little movement but then all of a sudden it shot up my driveway no problem. Almost as if it was blocked and then cleared. Also when filling it some times it would fill just fine and pour down but then other times it would burp. IE: fluid would stop going in and then bubbles would come back out. And i didnt have the funned jammed down the tube so it was able to breath. Anyone have any ideas? -Andrew
Do you know where the vent or vents would be located? Also can that be done with the tranny in the car? -Andrew
Yes, It can be serviced in the car. Its located on the pass side near the rear of the trans. Its a small pipe. Use a small wire & shove it all the way through it to clean it out. Mud dobbers love to build nests around these things & also road grime gets built up around them. DAVE
