  2. LMC truck in the kansas city area has those panels to repair your truck.
They have a toll mfree number that you can get through toll free information.

if both sides are bad id prolly cut out the beads and make a panel and roll some beads init that are similar or take it to a heating and cooling place n ask them if you dont have a bead roller, i was considering this but the rockers arent that could.

maybe you could buy one replacement step, and cut pieces out of it to repair yours. Usually it's a good idea to leave as much original solid metal as you can, only replace what you have to.

If you have access to a brake to bend sheetmetal, you could make your own patches. Or you could do something creative like weld a flat panel to fill the rust hole, then weld a couple strips on top of that to make the "beads".

I'm assuming you just have rust in the middle of the steps.

kevin. thats what i am doin to one side right now i cut out the bead and the brace under it butdo to the rust damage it is kinda hard to make the patch fit smooth because me and my dad were thinking of making both sides look like they were just 4 beads instead of 5 but ill put some pics up when i get done with the first one and thanks guys

  9. Even with the breads in them, it is not a bad idea to reinforce the new pieces from underneath. The new metal ain't quite the quality of OEM.

  10. It sounds like you going in the right direction. It's like you should be giving us advise. Your doing great. Keep up the good work.

Body parts are so cheap for the 55-57 you are better off just buying new than trying to repair the old stuff
