55 Chevy truck fender emblem

Hi Guys,

I have a 55 second series and I wanted to mount the fender V8 emblem. The assembly manual does not give the measurements.

Does anybody out there have these on their truck? I am hoping for a measurement (x and y) maybe at the point of the "v" so I can mount these.

(Now I wait to see how long it takes Squirrel to come up with the answer )

find a Chevy collectors' club in your area, and ask 'em if you can stop by and measure somebody's identical truck. I'd use the word 'restoring' a lot...and don't mention the MII IFS, 502/6-71, Currie diff...you know...be discreet - some restorers can get pretty ballistic if they think you're going to butcher one of their babies.

I have a 56, but no 55s, they are lower on the 55s. sorry.
