1952-59 Ford 55 customline horn

    i just did a power sterring converson on my customline had to leave the horn wire unhooked
    has any one found a way to hook it back up without using a external horn ****on

    Yes, somewhere. It involved an early Willy's horn ring that is attached to the steering shaft and used a brush similar to a generator to make contact. I have one, but have not installed it as yet.

    I used this same setup. Works great. it took a while to find a source for tubing (bushing) of the right diameter. bought the other pieces from walcks4wd.com
    The bushing for the jeeps was the wrong inside diameter. Also had to make sure the bushing was well glued to the steering shaft so as to insulate it from ground. Wire from horn goes thru and soldered to bushing. Then outside contact goes to horn thru a relay. P1130296.JPG P1130301.JPG P1130300.JPG
