Does anyone have a dash wiring diagram for a 55? Everything works fine one my customline with the exception of the dash lights. And im having trouble tracking down the issue. Im thinking there has to be a fuse somewhere that im missing.

  2. try turning the knob on the headlamp switch ? not being a smart *** but they have a "dimmer " feature for the dash lights that you may not be aware of .

No offense taken. Already tried that, no dice.

  5. the headlight switch has a fuse. but if that was blown then you probably would'nt have interior lights or gauge lights.

I moved the wire from the dimmer pole on the switch to the park light pole on the switch. now the dash lights are always bright but i isolated the trouble. Gerry

I had the same problem with my '58. It was the rheostat in the headlight switch. As 1 Ford Fan did, I moved the dash lights to feed off of a different spot on the headlight switch. You want to find a pole that is on in both the parking light and head light position. For me, I believe this was the tail light pole.
