I have read other threads referring to using a c4 or c6 trans successfully. So I know the 302 can work but would like to know if a toploader trans can be used or if it wont work. Would like to retain 3 spd on tree if possible. Thanks all and if I missed this somewhere or posted in wrong location Im sorry. That toploader will work behind a 302. I'm not sure about the rear mount, which ought to be rather easy. 4TTRUK
Ps; there are 2 variations of the 3 speed toploader; One is the T 150, the other is a beefier one, known as the RUG trans. One noticeable difference is the RUG has the larger 10 spline input shaft. 4TTRUK
