1952-59 Ford 55 ford side trim

June 2014 issue of rod and custom has a pic of a 54 ford with 55 side trim. May be an old look for some, but I don't think I've seen it before. Anyway, its a sharp looking ride either way.

 

I'm intrigued. Anyone have any pictures of this?

I heard somewhere Ford installed '55 side trim on a couple of '54s and drove 'em around the country, particularly California, to get informal feedback on the look from the public. Evidently it was well received...

 

cl***ic car parts OKC OK re-pops the straight qtr panel stainless side trim for the 55. im gonna buy 6 pieces and cut them short to fit the doors and front fenders on my 56.

Thanks for posting this picture. I love my '54 but always thought the '55 trim was unique (in a good way). Never occurred there could be a best of both worlds.
