Hello everyone. As of last post building a tube grill for a 55 Ford. Using 5/8 stainless tubes. There ordered and will be here Monday the 24th. Got 309 stainless wire for the mig welder and a 5/8 tubing bender. Ive also got the brackets made to hold the tubes. I've found a few pictures of old grills from thr 50-60s but not finding any of the grill out of the car before installation. I was thinking of putting a bens on each end, but not really sure i can bend it tight enough.
Does anyone know what they did back then. Is the tube just cut off and maybe a plug in the end.?? Any suggestions or any pictures of grill out of the car would be appreciated. I had one in 58 but don't know where my pictures went

    Thanks all!!!???

All the ones I ever saw back then ('60s) had open ends, sharply bent at the ends. Never saw plugged ones. They were made cheaply, most with the same bends, or similar.
