i'm sure this may have been covered on here before, but i'm not finding anything. is the windshield on a '55 ford (customline) coupe interchangeable with the windshield on a sedan?

    thank you in advance.

Cant speak for 55-56 but 1957 ford cars use different gl***. Fairlane, Victoria, Skyliner are not the same as Custom, Ranchero or wagon models.

  3. Ford used two windshields in the '55-56 cars. In '55, all except the convertible and Crown Vic used the same front gl***. The crown and 'vert had 'factory chopped' tops that are about 2" lower. In '56, Ford added the 'chop' to all hardtops. All 'post' cars used the same windshield '55-56.

Yes, the Customline will interchange with any of the Sedans, Station Wagon, and the '55 Hardtop.
