i have a 55 mainline which has turned from a "just needs new rockers " to full scale re build inc new custom floor trunk floor and new widened rear wheel arches and m***ive repairs to the body doors and roof ...in fact its got to the point that im going to go the full hog and i am fitting a 351 w with a 408 stroker kit and c6 box to a 4 bar rear end using a ford 9 in ..up the front i am leaving the suspension alone but fitting a rack and pinion and disk brakes with airostar springs . My question is ...what are the best brand of suspension bushes and ball joints ?? is there a performance uprated version out there ? any help would be great ...Dunk
Did you see this? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=39416 This is the good stuff not Chinese garbage.
The ball joints oem in 54-56 Fords were some of the heaviest made. Checker cab used the same ball joints for years.
so i missed the ones the guy was selling on here and so back to the question where is best to get the bushes and ball joints where i wont end up with chinese cr*p ? I was looking at getting a disk brake conversion from Jamco and was wondering if anybody had bought stuff from them and if they thought it was good stuff
Jamco is no longer an alliance vender because of their sloooooow shipping time. Do a search for more info.
Oh no .. thats bad as i cant get drop n stop to answer the emails i send them so i just kinda took the hint they dont want oversees orders
Do a search for ECI for your brakes, any other suspension, steering check with Fatman. Do do a check on the board for Jamco, not sure if they're even in business anymore.
