Hello I am looking to purchase 1955 T Bird button caps for my 40 Ford/ 15 in red wheels I found the product at NPD & Echlers I am replacing baby moons......looking for something different. My concern is that the moons dent really easily. I can work the dents out, but kinda always chasing dents The 55 T Bird "look" to be a bit more rigid around the circumference. The cost will be 200.00 + ship so hoping for something better than tin foil button caps Anyone have any experience with this product?? tks
Are the t'bird caps the same diameter as the 40's,,? Also the 40 wheels have internal humps to mount the original caps. Do the t'bird caps mount the same way? Or do they mount to wheels with external humps?
I’ve had the bird caps from the tbird suppliers. They’re more rigid and easier to deal with than the cheap baby moons I’ve had. Whether they fit your wheels I don’t have a clue. If they’re a lot cheaper at your sources, beware. While the tbird guys are pretty proud of their merchandise, they also have a picky clientele to take care of.
