Technical 56 Cadillac hubcap question

How can the center cap , the complete center hub assy be removed from a 56 Cadillac sombrero hubca/, without damaging the outer ring section ?

 

Drill the spot welds out?
Which style or

 

The one on the top

 

Post a pic of the backside
Wanting the emblem area removed?

 

To get it to look like this you grind around the inside lip/edge

Since you have one apart. Can you tell me , what the size is of the hole in the trim ring ? And also how tall the trim ring is when sitting on a flat surface ? This information would help me out before I buy something that might not work.
