I just purchased 56 chevy hubcaps(not wheel covers- these measure approx 11 1/4 ID). I have a truck I will be changing the wheels on. I am going to run smoothies. My question is...will these hubcaps fit an aftermarket wheel??? I have not bought the wheels yet but I get a good deal on the caps so I figured I would buy them. Any advice would be appreciated.
It depends on the wheel/manufacturer- doing some searching on their sites will help. I know it may not be the answer you're looking for, but it'll get you the answer you want.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WVI-65-5534032/ This is the type of wheel they'd fit on. They make several different widths. But I don't know how good the reproduction is...you'd think if they are repopping a wheel that takes a stock dog dish hubcap, that it would fit. That isn't the case with some of the rally wheels, the stock rally caps don't fit them. sorry I don't know the answer
It KILLS me that plain steel wheels have gotten so stinkin' expensive! I JUST had this conversation yesterday- it's cheaper/more cost-effective to buy a custom aluminum wheel than it is to get some new steelies
