I posted my '56 back in post #46 in flat black, here's an updated photo. It's factory Matador Red now. I made it look just like a friends car from the old neighborhood. I rode to Lion's and to the beach in one that looked just like this way back when I was 13-14 years old. The new engine looks just like the 340 hp 327 that Gene had in his '56 back then. (can't believe I don't have a photo?) After a year with baby moons I finally sprung for some Corvette wheel covers to change things up a little. The jury is still out for me, almost $700 and I kinda like the moons better. I bought some old magnesium American 5 spokes for the front but they don't quite clear the calipers.
This is one sweet car. If I had kept mine, this is how I envision it would look today. Really wanted to go to 150 trim, but never got around to it.
Your car screams 62-63 in my high school parking lot, beautiful, tastefully done and I love the look and your car.
If it matters any. I like the Vette covers much better. First glance at the moon's gives the impression of 17" or 18" wheels. Gene.
Agreed! The Vette caps seem to give it a subtle, classy image, yet not one to mess with. Vette caps all the way! Nice ride, B.T.W.[emoji106]
Several buddies of mine have tri fives. Here are a couple that are HAMB friendly. Forgive the rollers on the project car.
