    Greetings...

I recently drug home a 1956 F350 so my son can build a F100 pickup. My question is would the drop axle be usable for a slammed Model A hot rod I’m collecting parts for?

It has 6 bolt wheels and hubs and I was wondering if standard F100 hubs and brakes would fit the current spindles?

Also would my 36 wire wheels bolt onto the 5 on 5-1/2 pattern or are spacers needed?

    Thanks

That axle would definitely be strong enough. Your Wire wheels , if Ford, will fit the 5on 5 1/2 hubs. Can’t help you on the conversion from 1 ton to half ton.

I have into this one other time many years ago . Seems to me the king pin is the same spindle swap and good to go . I just can’t fully remember .
