I want to update my steering on my 1956 Ford F100. Not worried about my actual steering column options BUT the other steering options forward. I want to keep the stock front springs and axle if I cam and not planning on a Mustang 11 or Fatman front clip.. Would someting like aVega box hook up to the stock drag link ? Other options?

I think it is Mid Fiftys that sells the complete conversion using the Toyota box. Look on the Ford truck site and you will see many posts about conversions.

I used the CPP kit with the Toyota box on my '55 F100. It works pretty good but with a big stock type steering wheel it drives funny, I switched to a smaller sprint car steering wheel and it's fine. I also added a steering damper. Since it tows my car trailer, I used the CPP disc brake kit too with the 5 on 5 1/2" bolt pattern, works great.
