I agree with the one comment................the car will earn its name...just like at work, nick names for workers just happen....... If you name it Bad Ass........and it runs like shit..........then you got to hide it in the barn............my car is called Slo Poke until it runs..........so I stuck a slow moving vehicle sign on it until it proves it self......
not at all actually i sprayed the trim off the car than put it on thanks... it wasnt all that great looking to leave it stainless so i figured i would just paint it to match ..i like it actually
I've got a great idea! How bout you finish the car and if it looks like a gasser, then ask for help with the name! Maybe I'll post a pic of some wheels and ask what kind of car I should buy to put them on.
darth vader... hey listen.. this is a thread for the name of a car ...doesnt have to be mine persay maybe some one else will read this thread sooner or later and get an idea for there own cars name so please if you want to post a name go ahead if not than just read and keep it moving..
The arabian Eye-goggles! The Cleveland Steamer! Shit-in on you! Balls to the wall, peddle to the floor!
Yeah, I think it will come along on its own ( the name ), man...it's a nice, solid looking car, too. Thanks for the kind words on the truck, too...it was impossible to hook up there, but, we got that licked now! Now...its apart for paint... Oh well...NEXT YEAR! Whats the plan for the drive train in the '56?
Actually...I kind of did that. I built my coupe around the exact rubber rake, sidewall, and width + wheel size and type. I knew it was going to be a highboy Model A coupe...other than that, I had nothing figured out except what wheels and tires I wanted to run. I'm pretty sure the Radir wheels guys do that every time!
A friend of mine got a -57 Chevy Belair. As a fan of Omar & the Howlers (Blues). When Omar visited Sweden in -05 he got a ride in that car, and wrote his autograph on the dashboard. So he named his car Howlin Hunny. As a tribute to his hero! That also is a classic Chevy owner.
well the engine combo is going to be . small block 350 4 bolt im trying to get a set of fuelly heads something maybe 202 190 something heads medium size cam fender well headers i have a edelbrock tunnel ram with 2 750 edelbrock carbs on it maybe msd distributor and box trans is a turbo 400 reverse manual valve body short tail trans with waffle clutches rear is going to be either a nine inch or a 12 bolt with between a 456 or a 410 gear other than that im not going to dump a whole lot of money into the car i want to race it but dont plan on breaking the bank to do it ..
I gotta agree about just pulling a name out of a hat (or thread). Just build the car and the name will just naturally develop. A neighbor or relative will come over one of these nights and happen to say something totally un-related and BAM.....it will hit you. That's how these things work. My '65 Chevelle 300 came from the Texas/Mexico border and was full of rat's nests that my 10 year old nephew would like to poke around and he just started calling the car the Mexican Rat's Nest. Well, since there's a Big Block Chevy on the engine stand in the garage, I thought that'd make a cool name and I don't think anybody else has it.
