To bad your in Tx….theres a metal polishing shop near me who near me who can make that look like new. If your a wood worker you can make a vee in a 2’ block of hardwood and a wooden dolly and start working it out…I know it’s what I’d try as I look for a new piece.

Found a new piece on eBay but the seller shipped it USPS and well because of USPS it’s folded at the end… this is why I will pay more to ship FedEx or ups cause USPS is always screwing up.

I have had 2 pieces of trim for my car arrive bent. One I got 1/2 of my money back and we fixed it, the other was a hockey stick and not repairable. That one I sent back and got a refund. I had messaged the buyer to use a round container or strap it to a piece of wood, but he shipped it and never read the message.

IMG_1090.jpeg Went to a Paintless dent repair place today and they straightened up the body after my boo boo, amazing to me they pry and tap on it enough to get it back straight without messing up the paint.

Some of those paintless dent repair people are truly magicians. We had a dealer that got hit by a hail storm years ago and damaged 100+ cars. Two guys spent 4 weeks there and repaired almost all the damage to the point you couldn't tell what was repaired and what wasn't damaged. It all depends on where the damage is and if they can get behind it to accesses the proper point to push with their tools. Some cars required removal of the headliner and other panels to get to the sweet spot, some (like your Merc) had pretty open access. Smart idea to check this service out before going to a body shop and see what they can do especially if the car has paint as nice as your Merc! Mark

Sorry to see your car damaged. You had done so much in such a short time.

I know you will have it back to complete in no time.
