HI!- Since there seems to me to be a lull in the entertainment besides my ramblings and boasting i thought i would start a new build thread. I purchased this project a couple months back. i knew of this truck for about 15yrs and p***ed on it until i started on my 39 and i thought these things(c.o.e.'s ) are getting harder to find and i better get it before i can't find another. I'm a 56,meaning i was born in 56 so i like most cars and trucks made in 56, i know kind of lame. I've removed the body from the 800 series frame and for now have it sitting on a 72 chev pick-up frame. this truck is wide with at least 10in clearence between the tires and inner fender. stay tuned!!!!

check out the huge air brake

  3. looks good already.
1 ton rotors have 6" distance from brake surface to bolting flange if
that may help your width issue.
But I think you only like 5 bolt wheels.

I think you will have an issue with any 1/2 ton truck being wide enough.....if you went with something that had front leaf springs you might be able to come up with a straight axle that would be wide enough.
