How similar is the convertible tub on a 55 Buick to a 56 Olds? Can I cut out the tub of the Buick and use it to convert a 56 Olds hardtop? I have the 56 Olds convertible doors, cowl, header and top assy. Now I need the tub area and the parts specific to the back seat area.

It depends.......the 88 Olds and the Buick Special & Century are the same body shell, GM "B" body. The 98 Olds and the Buick Super and Roadmaster all share the GM "C" body.

If your donor car fits in that pairing, you should be in great shape.

    Well mine is a Holiday. I don't know if that's an 88 or 98.

    Holiday is an 88.

  5. Holiday is just Oldsmobile's way of telling you it's a hard top.
    Could be either a 88, Super 88 or 98.
At least that's what my '56 manual says.

Well I never realized it was across the trunk. I have a 98. Now to just get the guy to respond to my emails so I can buy it and get closer to building that convertible. Thanks everyone.
