Hot Rods '56 Thunderbird Cad powered drag car - what class??

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HotRod28AR, Jul 21, 2011.

  1. I'm building a '56 Thunderbird for one of my next projects, and it will be powered by a '60 Cadillac 390 with 6 deuces. Going for a early 60's vibe. White walls/Moon discs up front, piecrust slicks and mags out back, roll bar, Moon tank, etc.. What class would this thing have fallen into for say 1960/61? Any input? Thanks,

    Or B modified sports.

You would have to figure out the cubic inch to weight ratio and then check the old class breakdowns. With that combination you are probably looking at a 61/62 or so rule book as a guideline.

I don't know what class, but sounds really cool........

  5. Should fall into B/MSP B/Modified Sport

  6. it would have been B/MSP then they were moved into the gas classes
