Can someone confirm for me what the original wiper arms are for my 56 Fairlane? My wipers arms are the style that have a rotating joint about where the arm meets the blade. I don't think they are original to the 56 and they flip around and get stuck. What a PITA!

I think they are suppose to be the straight style but I wanted to make sure before I buy them. Also, where is a good place to buy the arms and the blades? I want to keep the original look.

    Thanks!

I may be wrong but what I think you have are the ANCO replacement arms. I found a nice reproduction set on EBay for around 40 bucks.

I think Mac's and Carpenters have them.

Mine are from C & G and I bet Carpenter has them, I agree with around $20/ side as the price.

I got mine at cl***ic in okc, but when I went to their website last night, the search feature wasn't working. Also, when I went to Carpenters, it brought up a wiper arm that was ***led, LH wiper arm? They also showed an arm that was straight and one that was bent in the same pic...not sure what's up with that. The arms on my '57 are straight, and no LH and RH that I remember.
The arms I got were unpolished stainless that polished up beautifully.

The arms on my car have the rotating joint and I didn't think that was correct. I want to replace them with the original style but it is confusing when you look at them at MACs. It looks like C&G has both sides and the wiper blades to go with them. Carpenters seems to have the arms but out of stock on the blades. Anyway, I wanted to make sure the I was buying the correct style. Thanks!!
