The first thing I would do is blackwalls and poverty caps.
Probably lose the bumper bullets as well.

I’m just glad that it’s on the west coast… fun looking at it though and daydreaming

How can the DMV make this claim? Vin plate nor trim tag does not provide info as to how many doors the car left the factory with?

I would think it would all start at the original "dealership" filling out the series body style? After that I have personally had the Licensing Dept. change that to whatever you built the car/truck into.

Just looked at the 57 titled back in 2021. I’ll be if it does not say “2dr”. Now my head is itching. I know my 56 back in 86 did not indicate anything about number of doors. When I go to the other house I’ll look.

Did not take it that way. Learned something new. As in maybe DMV and Insurance companies teaming up maybe? After all, Boyd Coddington flipped registering cars in California upside down on us.

In Pennsylvania the title code are cp for coupe, sdn for sedan, and conv for convertible. I have seen very old title's with rds for roadster. PA no longer uses that it will have conv on a drop top car. While sdn is considered a 4-door car today I have seen titles for 50's 2-door sedans marked as sdn. Terminology has changed over the years. The title application was done by hand and the person doing the paper work listed it as what it was called at the time. Today the computer fills that part of the form if it can from the serial number. On an older car it can be changed easily when the title is transferred at the notary. We do not go to DMV in PA for ownership changes.

  20. same with Oregon. They still list the door count to this day on new cars.

I love a 2 door sedan 57 and I like this car but I feel like the non-original 2 tone detracts from what makes a 150 so unique. Also I'd prefer blackwalls and dog dishes, plus deleting the gill trims and rubber bumper tips.

The conversion to 4 wheel disk seems unnecessary on a 235 car as well. And I like A/C but it's gotta be a dog on the 6.

I feel like someone talked the previous owner into some odd changes.

A 1957 VIN will denote a V8 or not, Make, year, plant, then sequence number. That's all. Body tag on firewall will denote body style, paint, trim, etc
