A few current pics. The 1960 F100 is headed back to Conn. soon. Just sold. Still hanging on to the driver 1959 F100. Good sample of before and after 3 inch dropped axle, reversed eyes on the leafs and flipped rear axle. Tall slick creates the rake. Truck

I have my eyes on a 1960 Ford pick up. I have a 77 ford f100 with a good running 302/auto that i'd like to put in the 60. It previously had a 390 before it was taken out. Any ideas of how the swap will be?

    Id appreciate any advice. :)

I just looked at a 57' w/ a custom shortened bed. It looks just like a stock shortbed (without sitting another truck next to it). The truck was clipped with a Torino front as far as I can gather and has a 429 CJ w/ a C-6 and a 9". The rear leafs were moved inward and the tubs widened by a few inches. It does have factory style wheels and tires but there is enough room back there for a set of duallys! Power disc brakes up front, power steering, tilt column, etc. The truck is fully restored/finished and seems it be a good deal. I really need another toy like a hole in the head but the truck is screaming my name. I think I might have just find my new "tow vechicle"!

  22. What suspension did you use?

  23. Here's my 59 again. The front and rear end are done! All I have to do is weld in the boxing plates for the back. Bumper, hood, and bed are just sitting there.

You put a 60 grill and hood on it? Or is it one of those title deals where it's not the year it looks? (Good looking truck regardless)

  26. It had a 60 grille and hood when I got it..but basically yes!

That's awesome. What wheels are you going to run?

Just struck a deal on a 1957 Ford Truck with a Torino front clip, 429, C-6, 9", and a lot of other goodies. The truck drives like a dream with power steering, power disk brakes. WOW, I have never owned a big block Ford, but I think I am going to like it! VDO gauges tastfully done, all new weather stripping, interior, Eldelbrock carb, HEI Dizzy. The whole package has only a few thousand miles on the total rebuild over the past 15 years. Typical old dude that builds stuff and then takes it out once or twice a year. I didn't need it and might not be able to keep it but the guy is trying to thin his herd and gave me a fair price. Not a great price but fair. It was worth buying th etruck just to BS with him awhile and check out his other toys!

No pics yet. I thought it might be rude to post up pics when I have not picked it up yet! Might take a few days for me to pick it up, file title, etc. Typical old hot rodder that doesn't want to sell anything but realized he isn't going to ever drive it and he is not getting any younger. He seemed real hesitant to agree to the sell but he knows I offered him a fair deal. I wonder how this thing would tow a car trailer and a light car?
