Can this be done? If so who makes adapters for this? Or do I need to move up to fullsize truck 5spd? Thanks!

  3. There is a stock bellhausing that the T-5 will bolt up to, don't remember the aplication though. I'm running a Saginaw 4 speed behind my 261, and all Ihad to do to the stock bellhausing was open up the center hole with a die grinder. I remember reading an article somewhere that tells you what clutch/ pressure plate/etc.. to use. Probably on Inliners International site.

  4. This is one of the bellhousings it bolts to, if the car has a manual in it now. 55-62 car and 48-60 truck both work.

The shaft is too long on the trans by one inch, you can either shorten it yourself, have it done, or run a $100 spacer/adaptor plate from Buffalo Enterprises to make it work. Change the clutch disc (stock clutch itself still works) and you're good to go, the link above aught to help tell you which one you need. You may need to have a driveshaft made up for it.
