If you look closely in the first picture on my previous post you can see the Continental Kit bumper laying in the foreground. Took me a couple times before i saw it. The owner said he has a picture somewhere of him and the car just after he got it in 1976. When he finds it he'll send it to me to post.

  2. Good to see someone not afraid to tear into a car you have to take down to a bare frame and replace parts the factory didn't intend for you to be able to replace. Too many guys afraid of a project of that magnatude.

  3. Jaa-hesus! What a job! Would it have been easier to just fabricate the whole car rather than using some of the old car?:p;)

Nope wasn't really all that bad of a job. I think you just have to have the knack of back-engineering a job like this. If you pay attention as to how it was put together from the factory that's half the battle. You do turn into a pro at undoing factory spotwelds real fast!!! A digital camera is also a must.

Thanks for posting the other pics for us. You are right, it dosn't look that bad, BUT, we all know how thing's can hide from us with these thing's.
Looking forward to seeing more progress on it, and any other old photo's he has.
Keep it up, it's really looking good!

Well this about does it for this thread. The car has 100 miles on it and now it's just dealing with the little things that crop up. The car will be in the 2011 World of Wheels in Milwaukee Feb. 18th, 19th and 20th. Come on down and check it out in person. One more car that didn't end up getting crushed and thats a good thing.
