No problems with the 950's ? Mine were pig rich on my blown 540, couldn't get them leaned out, drove me crazy until I put the 750's back on. Signed hate guys like you...ha ha

@swade41 - Perfect air/fuel ratio, throttle response is sharp!
It's an 8-71 on 490 cubes, Dart Pro 1 AL heads and solid roller.
Gary Dyers recommended them, I'm glad I listened.

Mine are the Holley boost referenced blower carbs just like the 750's. I changed jets, power valves, idle air bleeds and even put the 750 metering plates in them to reduce the IFR 30%, still rich. Mine is 12% over 6-71, hydraulic roller that made just shy of 800 with the 750's 8% over making 3 lbs boost. It should take the 950's no problem, I'm wondering if I got a set of screwy carbs.

Hey now hey now. Don’t go trying to give me a big head or something. It’s a 30 year old truck with damn near 400k... but hey she’d do the deal!

This one came with some kind of specially set up 750s for the blower... should liven up a small block alright.

Post some pics of this super case M22 this weekend! I need to re-case my M20... or upgrade to a 5 speed... haha

Fun watching your thread! Why didn't they use a 26 spline input shaft on the M22? Just curious

Thanks guys, I went with the co**** spline because I already invested in an expensive Centerforce 12 inch clutch, and all my other cars have the same input. Hope it wasn't a mistake, Autogear says I'm ok.

    A plus, it's got the deeper 1st gear, 2.56 : 1.
Something GM never did in the original M22.

IMG_20240517_185316.jpg Working on cutting the tree down. Private track rental today, I got the invite from some guys I know. The car was still set up with the 4.56 spool aluminum pumpkin I run at the track. 10s next time I hope. Video won't load!

There was some carnage at the track, unfortunately. This Pontiac lost a tire it was said. We watched him put it into the wall just after half track. 20240517_143616.jpg

Strong p***! Is it me, or was it running out of fuel at the top of third gear @ about :18 in the video? I see it cracking the 10's no problem! Always been one of my fav Hamber cars, nice job!

Thank you, everyone! The stroker big block screams right up to 7000 rpm, you heard the rev limiter dropping cylinders to keep it from going kablooie.
My pal said it picked 'em up a little, no pic. 15 psi in the slicks, next time I'll drop a few pounds and see if it helps. 4000 rpm launch.
