Picked up a new project this week, its a 57 chevy truck. My question is, the guy ditched the stock frame and built one out 2x4 rectangular and had it lifted and all sorts of crazy. I'm wanting to know what front suspension i should use for this or should i just wait and hope to find a stock frame. I'm not doing lifted I usually go way opposite of that. Thanks for any info.

newmans mfg. makes a frame for this using c4 front and rear suspension. trying to think of another frame builder that is using the same stuff.I will check and see what I can dig up.

I know when I needed a title for a '56 half ton... a wanted ad I posted locally got me a $25 rolling frame that just had the bed on it still - with clear title.

    ;)

  6. Yep, lots of frames out there. I know when I was looking for one a few years back a fellow in Arizona offered me one for free. All I had to do was go pick it up.

I would advertise in the HAMB classifieds, craigslist and over at Stovebolt.com. I'm sure you will turn up something in short order.

a stock frame with a front Camaro clip and a vette rear end works great in the 55-59 Chevy trucks
