What brand & type of pressure plate & clutch disc are the 9-10 sec. g***ers running back east? Thanks!
I ran an adjustable sintered iron disc with an adjustable (long) pressure plate in a 9 sec car that was street strip no trailer. You want controlled clutch slippage to take away some shockloads to the whole driveline and tires for better traction. Mine was Ram modified by Hyatt clutches who reset the pressure range and counterweights to the car's power, weight and gearing. An aluminum flywheel is also a big part of the whole system. Looks like Hyatt closed up after Tim died, other clutch builders are out there or try Ram out of the box.
I have a black magic in my 55. It was pricy, but it gives lot's of adjustment so you can really dial it in to your combo
