Building a 57 Chieftain 2 door sedan with a Jr. Stock vibe. 347 tripower car. My buddy John built me a set of reverse wheels for the rear.
Actually almost all the new wheels that claim to be reversed are not. They may have custom offsets or back spacing but are not "reversed" You need to start with older rims. Unlike todays wheels the hoops are different from front to back. The back side of the rim has a smooth slope from the center out to the outer edge. The front side has a step type design. The valve stem is also now on the inside of the rim. Notice the front is now the back and vice, versa.
WOW! as a dedicated 55-57 Pontiac freak [have owned 11 of them] I can certainly appreciate a well turned-out 57 tudor. Especially a tri power version. My first one [1968] was like yours in tutone blue. I replaced the wheezy 347 with a hot rod 1959, 389 and tossed the 3 speed for a muncie 4 speed. Love these cars! Mine also had reversed [Chrome reversed] wheels with '57 dog-dish caps.
