There were two different sizes of rear window - the smaller one was used in de Sotos and the base Chrysler models - Windsor and Saratoga, and the larger 'Pano Vista' window which was used in New Yorker and 300 C/D/E models. You could specify the bigger window as a cost option on the base models, but few did. That makes the big rear window even rarer.

I seem to recall seeing a photo years ago of Joe Wilhelm chopping Cliff Inman's car and he had cut it in four pieces to get it right, like a cross in the middle of the roof. Nowadays you had better be real careful with that rear window although the fronts are being reproduced - some of the '58s are good with the correct bubble, others not so good. But yes, gl*** is a BIG issue when chopping these.

Thanks!!! There's some serious shakin' goin' on! Wow! Cool pics, and a cool project!

I can't understand why they did put on those ugly '58 taillights on the Cliff Inmann though. They ****! The '57 light is the very best!

I heard about a guy, who makes these windows over here rilly cheap. I will ask about that. But before, I have a lot of other work to do!

Here's a very nice one. Not sure who owns it. Not a Hemi but done right I think.

Yes, could be, but maybe it was a convertible before... It looks like they did put on a early sixties top from another car. Or maybe they just swapped for this cooler looking windshield...

My sentiments entirely Gator - don't like those '58 taillights. I thought about putting De Soto towers in mine but decided to use the '57 Chryslers.

The 57 Chrysler taillights are just about the best of 'em all. I think. They just shout rocket age and forward look. Like the whole car. Clean and simple. No goofy stuff. And that what makes it such a mean, clean dreammachine.
    It's elegant and nasty together. I can't stop ! :D

The tall back gl*** was standard on 300, New Yorker, Adventurer, and Fireflite. It was optional on all other coupe models.

Here's an interesting take on the DeSoto tail light towers.. I really like these.
