Putting a Ford 9" rear in my 63 Pontiac Tempest. It looks like the side to side brake line has a special "T" fitting that the vent tube holds in place? Where can I buy this part? Any help appreciated! John

The Ford rear is welded in place and the 57 Vent goes through a special 1/2"? thick "T" fitting and holds it in place. I can't see and really don't have a lot of room in there with the coil-overs, exhaust etc. I'm hoping some one familiar with old Fords could point me to a good parts source so that I can just buy this part and move on to the millions of other things that I need to get done on this car?
probably from a junkyard will be your only option, but try over on 57fordsforever.com or y-blocksforever.com one of the guys over there should have what you need or know where to get it
Try Inline tube in Michigan. www.inlinetube.com . They usually have all of the "T"'s and adapter fittings required for the brakes. Dave
Don't need that fitting, just use a regular tee and put it near one of the tube straps that hold the line in place, that'll secure both tee and line. Or make a bracket that is secured to one of the 3/8 studs of the 3rd member and fasten a tee to it. If you're worried about concours points keep searchin (try Eaton, they make all that stuff).
I'm working on a '67 Mustang now, and it has a rubber brake line running to a T that goes off the vent. I'm pretty sure any Mustang vendor, or even regular parts store, could help you.
Don't know about the bracket that you are looking for, but Ford used the same rear brake hose from 57 to 64 on full sized Fords, Wagner BH18167 (F18167). That may be an additional source of the "T" fitting held on by the breather. Lots of other Fords used similar set ups. Another one that I looked at was a 70 Maverick, similar, but the hose is part of the T fitting with the lines coming out at a different angle and is considerably more expensive. Canuck
