I am new to this site from Newnan, Ga. I have owned a few old Fords--1970 Mustang, 1966 Fairlane 500 factory 390 car--but recently scored my first one from the '50s. It is a 1957 D-code 312 T-bird with a Fordomatic trans. A September '57 production car, it sold new in '58 to a man in New Orleans. In '62, he sold it to a lady in Birmingham. She kept it 24 years and sold it to a local, who sold it to me.

It runs and drives great. I replaced the leaky Holley carb with a Street Demon 625, and ditched the factory wheel covers for trim rings and chrome lug nuts, but other than that, it is as-found.

I look forward to tinkering with it and modifying it for streetable performance.

Thanks. The color scheme is all original...black paint, black hard top, with black and white interior.
