1952-59 Ford '57 wiper cable and pulley system

    The cable and pulley wiper system on '57 Fords is a very reliable and durable system. Trouble is, when there is a problem, it transforms into a nightmare for most. A lot of the problem is the Ford shop manual shows an illustration for how the cable is wound around the pulleys that is WRONG. Not sure if Ford ever corrected it with service bulletins.
    Two of the members on the www.57fordsforever.com forum got together and did a great how-to on the system with pics that show the correct winding and how to ***emble with the correct tension, etc.

    The '57 wiper system is a one-year only that was changed to a hard-arm system in '58 with a different wiper motor location.
