    I have a 1958? 235 engine with a serial number of F3I8J on it. I was just wondering what this stood for? Thanks!

    Check the LMC website, In the front of their catalog is a decoding chart.

    F = Flint engine plant
    3 18 = March 18
    J = 235 with manual transmission in a 1/2 to 3/4 ton truck
