Chaddilac, a friend of mine used clear 3m protective paint shield in his finely refinished foot wells. It was a Wisconsin truck so Texas / Oklahoma may not have the rust issues that he had after his shoes scraped through the paint. Great job, it looks like an entry to a mansion!

Well our next step is getting her to the house for finish up.
We have a little ways to go before we hit the streets, but It's so freaking close!

Chad, travel safe today. With all five living presidents in town, make sure you have all your paper work for all the checkpoints on 75! LOL. JK. You should be fine.

See you in a few hours!

    quick update:
So I have been making bits of progress in the evenings since since the truck made it home. It's been slow going cause I can only get about 3 hours at a time on it during the week. But tomorrow evening I have buddy coming over to help bleed the breaks. Then we are rolling! I can at least get it to the muffler shop. After that, I need to add a brake switch then then it is street legal.

Well the brakes are turning out to be a bigger issue than I expected. We have tried bleeding them several times now. But we can't get pressure. I am afraid I have a mc problem. I am gonna try to get that pulled tomorrow to double check everything.

I did get the windows pulled and torn down for new glass.

Sure does look good without the vent windows. I know better though. They are going back in.

did you bench bleed the MC before installing it? That could be the issue with to much air in the lines

  25. she is beautiful, love the red, oh yeah, nice pickup as well. She is making it 100% better just sitting in it. Way to go kids!! ~sololobo~

I didn't bench bleed it, but that is what I am going to do next. I am really hoping it is just too much air in the lines, and not my ebay special MC.

Thank you, and thank you. :D

damn fine progress you're making on this one bud. I love that red oxide and cream. I think some cream pinstriping would really set the body off

I have a feeling the air in the lines is the problem. Let us know how it all works out

Dubie... I already started on the vanilla stripes... did the hood before I left as my back was hurting so bad it was all I could stand to stripe that morning.

Hopefully Jeff will post a pic of those lines I pulled!! :D

On my master cylinder I neglected to put in the extension rod that came with the kit. Basically me pedal could not provide enough travel for the deep bore master and would go to the floor. I too neglected to bench bleed it and bled it a bunch before someone on here brought that up. Found the extension, stuck it in, bench bled it and I was back in business.....
