I have lowered the front of my 58 ford custom 300 and was wondering what shocks to use since they will have to be shorter. Anybody solved this problem already?

  2. I don't believe you do. The stock shocks were designed not to bottom out even with the rubber bump stop missing and lower A frame against frame. You'll be fine with stock application shocks. Yes there are Gas shocks for 57-59 Fords.

  3. Call Summit racing and tell them you lowered your car and need Doherty shocks for it. they will ask you how long they need to be and then sell you shocks the correct length.

Oh I failed to ask you did clip the coils correct?

The stock ones should work. They worked on mine.
